Derived from ancient Orokin schematics, Railjacks represent a return to large-scale naval combat in the current era. They bridge the gap between personal Warframe suits and planetary conquests. The technology required to navigate the Void without succumbing to madness relies on a Void Relais—either a Void Cloak or Void Drive—making these ships invaluable assets for Tenno operations deep within enemy territory. The Corpus and Grineer maintain their own fleets of capital ships, but these are not derived from Orokin Railjack schematics and do not mirror Tenno Railjack designs. Mastery of these ships is essential for space-based missions, though Sorties remain standard ground missions and do not require Railjacks. The design philosophy prioritizes durability and firepower, allowing crews to hold ground against overwhelming odds, and the vessel can be operated solo with AI crew or with other players, with stations not strictly required to be manned by separate players.
